Johannes Felden wrote one of the first critical textual commentaries of De Jure Belli ac Pacis. I found it a useful guide, in part because it reveals connections that become standard in later works by Barbeyrac and Gronovius. I had been waiting for months for this volume to arrive. The new tariffs unfortunately presented delays. Here it is:
| Felden on Grotius II, 12,§2 (the division of contracts) |
| Felden on Grotius I, 3, §7 (on double sovereignty)
| Felden on Grotius I, 1, §9 (on law and permissions) |
| Felden on Grotius I, 1, §4 (rights - perfect and imperfect) |
This volume also is a twofer. It includes the Zouch treatise on the law of nations and the jus fetiale.
