A new research group?
Since I started this blog a number of years ago, I've had visitors from around the world. Thanks for visiting this site.
Some of you have reached out to me directly about possibly organizing and participating in some coordinated research activity in the areas I occasionally write about on these pages.
So I'm going to try this (and hope I don't regret it): If you'd like to think about possibly participating in some online research group in these areas, reach out to me directly. You'll find my contact info on my public UC Berkeley page. The technology of our age has made it possible to have an online discussion, and perhaps we can try this sometime this term if there are enough of you out there who would be interested in exploring something together.
Addendum: This goes out to undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs, professorial colleagues - anyone interested in developing an international research group in areas of legal history (but especially in Roman, canon law, modern Civil Law systems), jurisprudence (philosophy of law), comparative law, political theory. And then perhaps we could look for some funding and think about publications.
