Burlamaqui - Droit Naturel
Back in California. I had some precious time today to spend a morning doing research, and I spent it working in the Robbins. I worked on several texts - one I've been meaning to work on is Burlamaqui - one of the major texts of the modern Natural Law School.

Part I follows much of Grotius and Pufendorf. There are some interesting bits in Chapter 7 that will be useful for my current work - e.g.:

Particularly interesting is §6 and the comment on 'corrélatifs' - a term originating among the 'Logiciens.' Another point I will need to follow up on. Modern legal theorists boldly claim that correlativity is Hohfeld's achievement, but I never found this persuasive. Now I can verify with some textual evidence to put the matter to rest - or maybe open a new line of inquiry.
