Berkeley Law
I am pleased to announce that Berkeley Law has extended a courtesy faculty appointment to me as an affiliated Professor of Law. I am very excited for this opportunity to formalize a professional partnership I have had informally with the Law School in past years. One important reason for creating this appointment is that it will become easier for me to make my courses in legal theory and legal history more accessible to law students - undergraduates in Legal Studies, as well as J.D., J.S.P. Ph.D., and J.S.D. students - especially those interested in Roman law and jurisprudence. Another, related project is a new working group on Jurisprudence and Public Law at Berkeley that we are calling 'the Berkeley Kelsen Society' - in honor of one of Berkeley's most famous legal theorists, Hans Kelsen. I'll update more on this as this group gets organized.
Excited to be a part of the Berkeley Law community.
